Our Story

Big Boy Ice Cream is family-owned and was established in 1955 in El Paso, Texas. The business began with the independent selling of ice cream, candies and manufactured concession goods using Cushman three wheeled scooters, three wheel tricycles, and ice cream trucks. 

Big Boy Ice Cream has become a wholesale supplier providing goods and services to independent and fleet vendors, concessionaires, schools, independently owned convenience stores, vending machines, restaurants, non-profit organizations, local and national businesses. Recently expanding out of El Paso and establishing other locations in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma.

Continuing the tradition of manufacturing our own concession goods, Big Boy Ice Cream continues to produce goods such as popcorn, cotton candy, candy apples, chicharrines, chicharrine wheels, chilendrinas, snow cone syrup, Mangoneadas, bolis, packaged pumpkin seeds and caramelized pecans. For special events, Big Boy Concessions in El Paso is famous for catering and selling hamburgers, hot dogs, corn in a cup, menudo, burritos, tamales, tripitas, gorditas, tacos, churros, and more.

Big Boy Ice Cream is a proud distributor of Blue Bunny Ice Cream, Fruitiki Fruit Bars, North Star, Wonder Ice Cream, Rosati Italian Ice and other brand products for wholesale. The company also provides customers with product vending decals and point of sale supplies. Equipment such as freezers, push-carts, and trailers are available for rent. 

Big Boy Ice Cream supplies a large assortment of American candy, Hispanic Candy, children toys and trinkets, potato chips, chicharrines, cotton candy, popcorn, candy apples, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, pork rinds, pickles, nacho cheese, tortilla chips, beef jerky, Coke and Pepsi cola products, bottle water, Gatorade, energy drinks, snow cone syrup, and concession paper goods such as nacho trays, hot dog trays, forks, spoons, cups for all types of beverages; almost everything and anything that is needed for any special event or concession occasion. Including, thermometers, chlorine test strips, gloves, menu boards, product decals, vending safety signs and more.    

Big Boy Concessions, currently has catered and is highly recommended through special events throughout the city such as Parks and recreational sport games and tournaments, Chalk the Block Festival, 16 de Septiembre, Poppy Festival, Thanksgiving Parade, Christmas Light Parade, and any contracted event such as car shows, concerts, festivals, holiday and sport events, and swap meets.

In addition, providing wholesale goods to our local and surrounding customer base and catering in special events, Big Boy Ice Cream services local and chain convenience stores through the DSD Program servicing southwestern territory of Arizona, New Mexico, West Texas and Oklahoma.  This program serves national and local C-stores with Blue Bunny Ice Cream in a rent free glass top freezer to provide the consumers convenience through impulse satisfaction.
